Those public school kids who were singing for Obama may want to change their tune when they find out this news: the President is calling for an even longer school year for America’s kids!

President Obama insists that we need to give students more time in school so we can be competitive as a nation and give our children the best possible chance to succeed. no word yet on if he also wants to take away Christmas because his heart is 3 sizes too small.

Serioiusly though, I’m all in favor of improving the educational system and setting high standards for our kids, but one could easily argue that there’s lots of work still be done as far as making the schools work better in the days they already have, instead of just adding more days on to the system as is.
